Bent’s Journey

Brokenness. Everywhere you will see broken people. This fatherless generation is in an endless pursuit of happiness that can only give short-lived satisfaction. The cravings, the thirsts and the longings, of the heart of this generation are greater that one can imagine.

Brokenness is one word that can describe Bent.  Abandoned by his parents when he was 9 months old, he was raised by his grandparents in the southern part of the Philippines until his 3rd grade. He was reunited to his father and spent his high school days with his father’s 2nd marriage until such time that he was separated again from his father and went through college alone.

Bent’s journey was rough and hard that anyone could ever imagine. Yet it was on this road of brokenness that he had experienced the Father’s gentle loving touch. It was through this time of hurts and pains that he wrote his music expressing his troubled heart and surrendering everything to the Father. More than celebration and gladness, his music talks about pains, defeats, second chances and how the Father lovingly takes care of the rejected, loves the afflicted and wipes away their tears. His worship songs simply helps this generation have a glimpse of the Father’s heart, because He is the only Being than can truly quench the overwhelming hunger and the thirst of this generation. So, sing, rejoice, pour out your heart out to God, and simply worship the Father with Bent.
